2023-24 Program Coordinator Application

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in applying!

Program coordinators are the heart of the KU Center for Community Outreach. Coordinators each manage one of the thirteen CCO programs; these are listed as follows: Hawks Mind, Campus Cupboard (food insecurity), Helping Unite Generations (HUG), Ability Advocates, Concerned Active & Aware Students, Create, Jaypaws, Earth, Hawks for Health, Jubilee Cafe, Mentors in the Lives of Kids, Music Mentors, and Project Bridge.

For their affiliated program, program coordinators recruit and organize volunteers, maintain communication with community partners, and promote and represent the Center for Community Outreach. Program coordinators work roughly 14 hours per month on their programs. This time block consists of three weekly 1-hour time slots devoted to office hours, peer advising, and volunteering. In addition, there is a bi-monthly CORE meeting where all program coordinators meet and discuss the functioning of the organization at large.

Being a program coordinator is not only a great way to get involved with service and KU, but it is both incredibly rewarding and a super fun experience! You will gain amazing experience in organizing volunteering events, collaborating with others, and maintaining a program.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and close on April 19th. Also, with any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to email cco@ku.edu. You will be contacted about your application by email shortly. Thank you so much for the time spent answering the questions.
